Julie is a prolific songwriter from Derby. Steve and Julie have recorded ten albums of her songs and they regularly perform at Folk Clubs around the country. Julie’s songs always have a story to tell, whether it be of their Derbyshire home or songs of the sea and air, or drawn from their love of history and its characters.
They have performed at the Derby Folk Festival, Moira Furnace Festival, The Isle of Wight Sea Songs Festival, Lincolnshire Day of Folk and numerous folk clubs around the country.
The Waveney Folk Club looks forward to Steve and Julie making their first appearance at the club in what promises to be a fabulous evening of entertaining folk music.

 

Homity are a folk duo now based in Suffolk, they perform a mix of traditional and contemporary songs and tunes as well as their own compositions. Previously based in Lincolnshire they won the B.B.C. Song for Lincolnshire Competition in 2015, and were runners up the following year.
Homity are a sweet voiced duo, Ian sings and plays the guitar and Michelle sings harmony vocals and plays a range of whistles and occasionally the concertina. During the time they were in Lincolnshire they were well known on the folk circuit in that part of the country, performing at folk clubs and festivals. Now back in Suffolk they bring their Lincolnshire musical experience and collection of folk songs to the Waveney Folk Club in what is bound to be a really good evening of folk music.
